Witch Road consists of one and two-bedroom bungalows that are specially designed to meet the needs of elderly and ambulant disabled people and forms part of a wider strategic affordable housebuilding programme that has been led by East Ayrshire Council and CCG (Scotland) across the region since 2017.
Ten developments and over 260 affordable homes have been completed to date with each project supported by Arc-Tech’s in-house Renewables division with the installation of solar PV panel systems.
Witch Road, in response to Scottish Government legislation introduced in 2021, also has sprinkler systems installed within each dwelling which connect to a main pumping station situated within the masterplan.
Arc-Tech’s certified design, installation, commission and maintenance service for sprinkler systems has been used on four East Ayrshire developments to date – including the authority’s first net zero carbon housing development – as well as various flatted developments currently under construction across the breadth of the country.
Witch Road was one of five developments supported by Arc-Tech nominated for this year’s awards. For more information on the full list of winners, CLICK HERE.
