St Andrew's Hospice, Airdrie

St Andrew’s Hospice is one of Scotland’s leading healthcare charities and has been operational in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, since 1986.

Arc-Tech (Scotland) worked in partnership with the Main Contactor, CCG (Scotland), to deliver a full turnkey M&E Services solution that formed part of the building’s extensive refurbishment and reconfiguration works that were completed in 2018.

The refurbishment and reconfiguration of the Hospice were undertaken to help improve facilities for staff as well as in-patients; ultimately by doing so, the number of available beds was reduced from 35 to 30, however, this was intentional with the Hospice’s aim being to provide greater levels of privacy and palliative care for reach patient.

The M&E Services package includes:

A key element of the project was the use off-site prefabricated products in the form of a complete boiler house and M&E multi-service corridor distribution modules. This prefabrication was engineered from the Project REVIT model which was developed fully by Arc-Tech ensuring that time savings could be made to the overall programme pre-start and on.
