South Lanarkshire College, one of Scotland’s foremost academic institutions, recently received an extensive range of service upgrades to improve facilities for the 19/20 academic year.
The works that were undertaken by Arc-Tech primarily focused on the main campus building and were completed on time and on budget for the commencement of classes this September. This included lighting replacement to internal corridors, atria areas, selected classrooms, external car park lighting, external façade lighting and the installation of signage lighting.
Destratification ventilation will be installed to workshops and upgrades to kitchens also include ventilation which is inclusive of kitchen canopy replacement.
Boiler efficiency upgrades, including the installation of an energy monitoring system and Building Management System, were also part of the programme to aid the college in managing energy consumption.
The college is also home to two of Arc-Tech’s trade apprentices,1st year plumbing and heating engineer, Sean Duncan, and 1st year plumber, Finlay Bruce.
