Pinewood School, Blackburn

Pinewood is an additional support needs school based in Blackburn, West Lothian.

Arc-Tech (Scotland) supported the delivery of a brand new extension to help provide pupils and staff with additional, improved learning facilities; the project is one of many that forms part of an ambitious school improvement programme that is being undertaken by West Lothian Council across the regional area.

The contract was undertaken on behalf of Main Contractor BAM Construct UK, in partnership with hub South East, and procured via BAM’s Tier 1 Sub-Contractor framework.

Arc-Tech provided an extensive package of works that was delivered over a 6-month programme and enabled a formal launch of the new facilities in spring 2022. These included:

Pinewood School is one of two additional support needs schools that have been supported by Arc-Tech. Again operational on behalf of BAM, Cedarbank School, a £1.3M M&E contract, was also the beneficiary of new facilities including classrooms, office space, dining area, and gymnasium. This project was also completed in early-2022.
