As part of a major mixed-use development in the Gorbals, New Gorbals Housing Association has created a new civic centre for the south side of Glasgow area, culminating with the completion of 28 affordable homes and brand new offices for the Association located on Crown Street.
Constructed within a new “piazza” by Main Contractor, CCG (Scotland) Ltd, the new offices have been delivered to create a vastly more welcoming and modern environment for staff and tenants than the previous premises, formerly located within a converted block of flatted housing adjacent to the new development.
Arc-Tech was responsible for the installation of M&E Services including the office’s heating, ventilation, water services, drainage and electrical systems as well as data & telecommunications, CCTV, lighting, fire and security alarms. The new build housing also received solar PV in order to promote energy saving for the residents.
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon MSP opened the development alongside Glasgow City Council Leader in late-summer 2019.
