Job Vacancy – Electrical Compliance Manager & Supervisor

Arc-Tech (Scotland) Ltd are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual interested in undertaking the dual role of Electrical Compliance Manager & Electrical Qualified Supervisor.

The right candidate should have relevant electrical qualifications and a good understanding of electrical safe systems of work and electrical compliance.

Salary: Hourly paid/competitive
Hours: Full time, Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8.00 am to 4:00 pm; with additional hours worked as workload requires.
Location: 11 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang Investment Park, Glasgow G32 8NB

This is a permanent role and does not include home-working.

The Role:

To ensure that the organisation complies with all aspects of electrical safety management, NICEIC accreditation or other registration bodies and to communicate those requirements to the management team and operations teams. You will provide any technical support as required.

You will be accountable for the following:

  • To advise electrical authorised persons and the management team on any electro-technical matters.
  • Inspect electrical installations & certifications issued by other engineers within the business.
  • Ensuring inspection results and testing are recorded correctly on appropriate certificates/reports and confirming the results for acceptability.
  • Training & appointing Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) and Authorised Persons (APs).

Responsibilities:

  • To provide technical support and assistance in all aspects of Electrical Work.
  • To carry out audits of other engineers’ electrical work as required by NICEIC.
  • To actively monitor compliance in relation to AP’s electrical test equipment and PPE.
  • To carry out duties and responsibilities as appointed person for the Company NICEIC accreditation.
  • Assess qualifications/competencies for potential or existing APs.
  • Develop toolbox talks in relation to Electrical Works / Certification.
  • Help develop bespoke training modules.
  • Provide a monthly report for the operations managers.
  • To work with the company’s senior management team, administrators and project teams.
  • To liaise with external bodies – (such as NICEIC representatives or other registration bodies) as and when required.

Essential Experience:

  • To have served a full trade apprenticeship as an Electrical engineer.
  • To have extensive experience in Commercial, Industrial & renewable energy environments.
  • To have City & Guilds 2360 Electrical Installation Part 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent.
  • To have 18th Edition.
  • City & Guilds Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent.
  • To have a full UK driving licence.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft / Outlook.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
