Homes for Scotland is a construction industry body that works on behalf of developers and housing providers to engage with national local government stakeholders to increase the supply of new homes.
Their awards, taking place in Edinburgh on the 30th of May, are some of the most prestigious in the annual Scottish property sector calendar and this year, Arc-Tech has played a key role in 3 nominated projects.
Granton Station View and Western Villages are two developments in north Edinburgh. Totalling 519 mixed-tenure homes, each project has adopted a zero-emissions energy strategy and are the beneficiary of a combined Air Source Heat Pump (cASHP) for their space heating and hot water requirements.
These purpose-built energy centres are some of the most advanced in the UK, and form part of a wider service installation from Arc-Tech’s in-house Renewables and Sprinklers Divisions with over 3000 solar PV panels installed, as well as communal supplied sprinkler systems.
A similar level of installation was completed for the 92-home Water Row in Govan, south Glasgow. The development is located next to the new Govan-Partick Bridge and is further evidence of Arc-Tech’s capabilities to serve large-scale residential delivery anywhere in Scotland.
The projects will compete in the Medium Affordable Housing Development and Large Affordable Housing Development of the Year categories, and we extend our congratulations and best wishes to the main contractor, CCG (Scotland), for receiving this recognition.
