“I was extremely impressed by Arc-Tech’s professionalism, quality and commitment. The workmanship was excellent and management was first rate… I believe Arc-Tech to be a very capable contractor and would have no problems recommending them for future work here at the airport or to others across the industry.” Brian Jack, Glasgow Airport
Arc-Tech undertook works for Glasgow Airport where a full suite of Mechanical and Electrical services were installed for the Consolidated Car Rental Centre (CCRC), a brand new facility that offers a one-stop-shop car hire service for passengers housing all of the airport’s rental partners including Hertz, Avis and Europcar.
Both the airport and its rental partners worked in partnership on the concept and design of the centre to ensure the process of hiring a car is a quick and convenient experience which included situating the building next to the airport’s terminal, increased floor and office space and, through the use of smart technology, providing premium contactless booking services.
Arc-Tech have industry experience in the airport environment, one in which can be challenging for a contractor to ensure that there is minimal disturbance to airport operations, including flights and passenger movement, and the importance of maintaining security.
As such, Arc-Tech worked in close consultation with the airport engineering staff for a series of shutdowns, isolations and diversions to ensure the initial infrastructure was in place to receive the building footprint.
A full turnkey M&E solution was delivered for the project, inclusive of Heating, Plumbing, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Electrical, Data, Security, Fire Alarms and Access Control.
The Plant and Switch Rooms were delivered to an exemplary standard and met perfectly with the expectations of the airport estates department. This standard was delivered in accordance with the Arc-Tech quality assurance procedures, and the high quality installation team.
Due to innovative installation techniques, Arc-Tech has ensured ease of maintenance for all future repairs.
