Previously, the Airport had a series of individual bases for each of its recognised car rental partners, however, due to the restructuring of the airport base, a new facility was deemed to be a more efficient use of space as well as being an easier and more accessible facility for purchasers.
Both the airport and its rental partners worked in partnership on the concept and design of the centre to ensure the process of hiring a car is a quick and convenient experience which included situating the building next to the airport’s terminal, increasing floor and office space and, through the use of smart technology, providing premium contactless booking services.
Due to the complexity of an airport environment, Arc-Tech worked in close consultation with the airport engineering staff during the design phase so that the existing service infrastructure could accommodate the new footprint.
