A bespoke-designed, purpose-built assisted living development, Andrew Nisbet Place is one of several, specially-designed affordable housing developments delivered by East Ayrshire Council across its regional area since the commencement of their Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP) of 2017-2021.
Working in partnership with the Health and Social Care Partnership and Main Contractor CCG (Scotland), the assisted living model of care being delivered offers support to adults with a range of disabilities to promote successful moves from care, and other settings, to each resident’s own accessible, social rented home.
A total of 13 self-contained apartments are provided with the design of the building aligned to promote independence and integration between residents.
Arc-Tech (Scotland), working alongside CCG, was responsible for the installation of Mechanical Services such as the communal heating system and sprinkler systems as well as solar PV and street lighting.
The project was the second ever to have received Renewable Services from Arc-Tech and since then, a further 7 projects, with a combined total of 200+ affordable homes, have been supported across East Ayrshire.
Andrew Nisbet Place was completed in late-2019.
