An assisted living development, James Nisbet Place is one of several affordable housing developments being delivered by East Ayrshire Council across its authority over the coming years as part of the 900-home Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP).
Working in partnership with the Health and Social Care Partnership and Main Contractor CCG (Scotland) Ltd, the assisted living model of care being delivered offers support to adults with a range of disabilities to promote successful moves from care, and other settings, to each resident’s own accessible, social rented home.
A total of 13 self-contained apartments are provided with the design of the building orientated to promote independence and integration between residents.
Arc-Tech, working alongside the Main Contractor, was responsible for the installation of Mechanical Services such as the communal heating system and sprinkler systems as well as solar PV and street lighting.
The project is the second to have received Renewable Services from Arc-Tech following on from the successful completion of Cassillis Court in 2018 whereby solar PV modules were installed to 11 properties.
