Arc-Tech (Scotland)’s approach to skills replenishment and development comes in the form of industry-recognised trade apprenticeships for young people from the age of 16 and adults over the age of 21 as well as training programmes undertaken with some of Scotland’s leading colleges and universities.
In many instances, those who undertake these programmes are either retained by the business or given the opportunity to establish careers in the industry. Arc-Tech (Scotland) has a strong track record of retention and a great example of this is Peter Dunlop.
Peter, from East Kilbride, joined us as one of our very first trade apprentices and after graduating, he was given the opportunity to join our team at head office as an Assistant Project Surveyor and is now well on his way to becoming a qualified Quantity Surveyor.
Currently undertaking his HNC at South Lanarkshire College and with plans to move on to an Honours in 2023, Peter is also hard at work supporting a number of projects across the breadth of the country. He sees this live working environment as being crucial to supporting his ongoing development but it’s also an enjoyable one as he continues to expand his understanding of the Building Services industry.
